Adventures

An adventure is a fun filled and exciting opportunity for our families to take their focus away from the daily hardships that are a result of having a child with a life threatening illness. We start out with a destination or event, and then our loving volunteers enhance it with creative ideas for family fun and friendship. Then, we add prizes and treats for good measure and end up with a wonderful experience filled with joy, laughter and sweet memories that a family can treasure. When you think like a child, you will make a child smile! 

Hospital Visitation

Because we realize that hospital stays can be lengthy, lonely and boring, especially for an energetic child, our volunteers visit our children when they are admitted into the hospital.  Volunteers bring small gifts for the children to choose from, such as a craft to make, a movie to watch or a plush toy to comfort them through their stay.  We can only visit when we are notified that one of our A Kid Again children are admitted.  If you have a child staying in the hospital please CONTACT US.  You also may wish to visit our GET INVOLVED page if you would like to volunteer for or develop this hospital visitation program.
